Refillable pods, coils and devices are available to purchase without a prescription. However, the Pharmacist has a responsibility to ensure the products are being used for the purpose of smoking cessation or, nicotine dependency management. As Tabuu is an online service, we need to validate that you're a patient using the product appropriately. Therefore, we require each patient to create an account and apply for a prescription. This process ensures we know who the pharmacy is supplying products to and we are providing an appropriate level of care.
Refillable systems all use a rechargeable device, these devices include a built-in battery that is rechargeable via a standard USB C cable usually included with the device. The refillable pods will include either a built-in coil or, a removable coil, depending on the device. Built-in coils are the easiest option and are recommended for people new to therapy and wanting to try a refillable kit. Refillable kits provide more flexibility to suit your needs and can be more affordable than closed systems. However, they require additional maintenance, and there are important steps you need to understand, such as; selecting the right resistance coil for your E-liquid, priming your coil before use to avoid burning and knowing when to replace your refillable pod or coil.
Due to the changing regulations that have impacted device and hardware standards as of July 1 2025, there will now only be very limited availability of these types of devices, hardware and accessories. This may expand in the future as suppliers gain additional approvals for their devices, which Tabuu Pharmacy will continue to monitor and range as and when additional products become available.
